Axpo Solutions AG is part of Axpo Group, a leading Swiss energy company headquartered in Baden. The Market Risk Department's BI and Market Intelligence team is responsible for building and maintaining PnL and Market Risk reports and end-user applications. The team supports strategic decision-making, market data analysis, risk analytics, and operational efficiency across the Market Risk function. During the internship, the intern will own an independent development project to build a new tool, report, or workflow supporting Market Risk analysts and external stakeholders in their PnL and risk analysis. This includes contributing to the development of PnL and Market Risk reports and applications, delivering actionable management reporting, enhancing market data analysis and risk analytics, and increasing operational efficiency within the department. Currently pursuing a university degree in quantitative finance, economics, data science, or a field with a strong quantitative or mathematical background. Knowledge of applied statistical and financial methods and modelling. Solid understanding of financial instruments such as Futures, Swaps, Forwards, and Options, including valuation and risk management. Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, SQL, and Python. Ideally experience in the energy or commodity sector. Ideally experience with Databricks or Dataiku. Good written and oral communication skills in English. Independent, self-driven, and structured approach to work. A 6-month internship with a 100% workload starting 1 January 2027, based in Baden.
