Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) is one of the largest training companies in the Canton of Zurich, supporting over 420 trainees annually. The bank offers a one-year HMS/WMS internship (Praktikum) designed to provide pupils graduating from cantonal commercial or economic secondary schools with a solid and experiential introduction to the banking world. The programme is part of ZKB's Young Talents initiative, which actively promotes early-career development across a wide range of specialist banking areas. Over the course of one year, the intern rotates through one of several specialist areas: (1) Customer halls – supporting private customer advisory services, processing banking transactions, identifying customer potential, and accompanying customers into the digital world. (2) Direct bank private customers – advising and supporting private customers who contact ZKB online or by phone, processing enquiries and ensuring smooth digital service. (3) Direct bank corporate customers – processing corporate customer orders, handling telephone support, advising on company formations, and onboarding new corporate customers. (4) Financing centre – supporting the processing of financing applications, monitoring customer advisor business, and contributing to the further development of financing processes and training measures. In parallel, the intern attends inter-company courses at IGKG, including banking topic course days at CYP. Graduation from the cantonal commercial or economic secondary school (HMS/WMS) with an average grade of 4.65 or better. Enthusiasm for the financial world and enjoyment of working with Office programmes. Willingness to learn new things and make a difference. Enjoyment of administrative tasks with the ability to bring creative impulses and ideas. Strong communication skills, open-mindedness, and enjoyment of working in a team.
