About

PwC Switzerland's Investor Trust Services team sits within the Assurance practice in Zürich. Unlike traditional asset management or investment banking, the team does not manage client assets or make investment decisions. Instead, it audits and assesses investment processes, investment performance, risk management practices, valuations of financial instruments, and internal control systems of asset managers, banks, and other financial institutions. A key focus is the Assurance Valuation Desk, which is responsible for the independent valuation of financial instruments in the context of external audit engagements across PwC Switzerland, providing audit teams with specialised valuation analyses and technical expertise. Support audit engagements for assurance clients in the valuation of financial instruments and derivatives. Contribute, where required, to assurance engagements related to compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) for traditional and alternative asset managers. Gain exposure to audit engagements at financial institutions in the area of internal controls and develop insights into governance, risk, and control processes. Explore the use of digital audit and data analytics tools and support the team in delivering robust analyses for clients. Work within a diverse team and international network while receiving regular coaching and feedback from colleagues and leadership. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking, Accounting, or a related field, with at least four semesters completed. Strong willingness to learn, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in financial markets and the investment management industry. Analytical mindset with the ability and enthusiasm to investigate and understand complex topics in a structured manner. Dynamic, communicative, and open personality with a collaborative approach to working with clients, international teams, and a variety of stakeholders. Motivation to take ownership and continuously develop in an environment that promotes coaching, feedback, and personal growth. Interest in data analytics, digital tools, and emerging technologies is an advantage. Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel. Excellent written and spoken English required; German and/or French language skills are considered an asset. A six-month off-cycle internship from December 2026 to May 2027 at PwC Switzerland in Zürich, embedded in the Investor Trust Services team within Assurance. The role provides hands-on exposure to the independent valuation of financial instruments, GIPS compliance engagements, and internal controls audits at financial institutions. Interns benefit from regular coaching and feedback from colleagues and leadership, work within a diverse international network, and gain experience with digital audit and data analytics tools.
