Planetary is a venture capital backed bioeconomy company operating across Switzerland, the EU and the UK. It builds, owns and operates a network of industrial-scale precision fermentation facilities globally for its partners using its proprietary BioBlocks platform. In addition, planetary produces mycoprotein as a B2B food ingredient using biomass fermentation, and is expanding into sustainable fermentation-based bio-materials and cosmetics. The role is based in Gland (close to Geneva and Lausanne), with a hybrid working model of 1 to 2 days remote per week possible. An 80% pensum is available upon request. Support the CFO in the execution of all engagements within the scope of Corporate Governance, Investor Relations, Treasury, FP&A, Data & IT, and Corporate Finance. Prepare business cases in the context of the Group's organic development. Support the management of cross-functional projects. Implement a quarterly reporting format for investors and creditors. Prepare presentations and reports for the C-suite and Board of Directors. Draft presentations and other documents for internal and external stakeholders. Participate in due-diligence meetings. Work on the valuation of investment opportunities. Support communication with equity investors, current and prospective lenders. University degree in Finance or from a leading business school. Between 1 and 2 years of experience in a corporate finance role, including M&A, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, or Private Equity. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail. Strong oral and written communication skills in English (working language; fluency required). French and German are a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to drive AI adoption internally. Sound knowledge of corporate finance, private equity and venture capital principles. Knowledge of the alternative protein industry, venture capital ecosystem and start-up life is a plus. Motivated to join an impact-focused industrial firm. Master's degree level education required. Direct reporting line to the CFO with exposure to all outward-facing finance activities including investor relations and capital raising. Involvement in strategic capital allocation decisions and internal operational excellence initiatives. Hybrid working model with 1 to 2 remote days per week. Possibility of an 80% pensum.
